At Luna Rituals, our candles, wax melts, crystals and ritual products are made and selected with care. We want every customer to enjoy their products responsibly and safely.
Product testing and quality control
Our products are subject to appropriate product-development checks and quality-control procedures. Where a product is described as tested, this refers to the specific testing actually carried out. Testing does not eliminate every possible risk, and customers must always follow the supplied instructions and warnings.
Candle and wax melt safety
All candles must be burned responsibly and all wax melts must be used with a suitable warmer. Customers must read the care instructions and product warnings before use. Never leave a candle or warmer unattended, and keep products away from children, pets and flammable materials.
Use at your own risk
Candles involve an open flame, and wax warmers involve heat or electricity. By purchasing and using these products, customers acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to follow the safety instructions supplied with their purchase.
Luna Rituals cannot exclude or restrict liability where doing so would be unlawful. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.
Product appearance
Handmade products may have minor variations in colour, shape, finish and appearance. These variations do not necessarily indicate a fault. Please contact us if your item arrives damaged or materially differs from its description.

1. Luna Rituals — Candle care guide
Your Candle Ritual

Treat your candle with care to enjoy its fragrance and create a beautiful ritual at home.
Before every burn
Trim the wick. Trim to approximately 5 mm before lighting, and remove any loose wick trimmings or debris from the wax.
Choose a safe location. Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from curtains, draughts, pets, children and anything that can catch fire.
Keep the wax clear. Remove matches, packaging, excess botanicals and other loose materials from the wax surface before lighting. Decorative crystals, dried flowers and herbs should not be left near the flame or embedded around the wick where they could ignite.
Check the container. Never use a candle in a cracked, chipped or damaged vessel.
Keep it upright. Place it on a level surface so the candle burns evenly.
While your candle is burning
Never leave a burning candle unattended, even for a short time.
Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Keep candles away from open windows, fans and draughts.
Never move a candle while the wax is hot or liquid.
Never touch the vessel, flame or melted wax while the candle is burning.
Do not burn candles near other heat sources or close together.
Stop using the candle when approximately 10–12 mm of wax remains at the bottom, or sooner if the manufacturer specifies a different limit.
Follow the maximum burn time supplied for that particular candle. Never burn for longer than the recommended period.
Extinguishing your candle
Use an appropriate candle snuffer or follow the candle manufacturer's recommended extinguishing method.
Never use water to extinguish a candle.
Do not touch or move the candle until the wax has completely cooled and solidified.
Once cool, check the wick and remove any loose debris before the next use.
Luna Rituals intention-setting
If your candle is part of a manifestation or spiritual ritual, take a moment to set your intention before lighting it. You might focus on love, abundance, protection, confidence or new beginnings.
Your intention is personal to you. Always keep the practical safety rules above as part of your ritual.
Important: Never leave a candle burning while sleeping, meditating with your eyes closed, or leaving the room.

All Luna Rituals candles are created with care, and our products and formulations are tested as part of our product-development and quality-control process. However, candles involve an open flame and carry inherent risks when used incorrectly.
By purchasing and using a Luna Rituals candle, you acknowledge that you are responsible for following the supplied safety instructions, product labels and warnings. Candles are burned at your own risk.
Luna Rituals cannot accept responsibility for damage or injury caused by misuse, failure to follow safety instructions, unattended flames or unsafe burning conditions, to the extent permitted by law.
Please read all care instructions and product warnings before use. If you are unsure whether a candle is safe to use, discontinue use and contact us.
A business note: “Burned at your own risk” is useful as a warning, but it does not automatically remove your legal responsibility as a seller. Your terms cannot override consumer rights or applicable product-safety obligations.
Also, only state that products are “tested” if you can substantiate the testing carried out. Ideally, keep records of your candle formulations, wick and vessel testing, burn tests and batch checks.
These precautions are consistent with UK fire-service advice on candle use.
2. Luna Rituals — Wax melt care guide
Your Wax Melt Ritual

Our wax melts are designed to fill your space with beautiful fragrance. Follow these instructions every time you use them.
Before using your wax melts
Choose the correct warmer. Only use a purpose-designed wax melt warmer suitable for the type of wax melt you have purchased. Do not use a candle warmer, hot plate or other appliance that is not intended for wax melts.
Check your warmer. Make sure it is stable, clean and free from cracks or damage. Follow the warmer manufacturer's instructions.
Use the correct amount. Place an appropriately sized piece of wax into the warmer dish. Never overfill it.
Keep your space safe. Place the warmer on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains, furniture, bedding, draughts, children and pets.
Keep the wax clean. Do not add water, oils, herbs, crystals, glitter or other materials unless the warmer and product instructions specifically allow them.
Using tea-light wax warmers
Use only the tea-light size and type recommended by the warmer manufacturer.
Place the tea light securely in the designated holder.
Keep the warmer away from flammable objects and ensure there is sufficient clearance above it.
Never leave a lit tea light unattended, even for a short period.
Extinguish the flame before leaving the room or going to sleep.
Allow the dish and wax to cool completely before handling or changing the melt.
Using electric wax warmers
Follow the manufacturer's operating instructions.
Check the cable, plug and appliance before use.
Do not use an appliance with damaged wiring or signs of overheating.
Switch it off and unplug it when not in use, before cleaning and before leaving the room.
Keep the electrical warmer away from water and never cover it while operating.
When should you change your wax melt?
Wax melts release fragrance as they warm, but the wax does not disappear in the same way as a candle.
Replace the wax when its fragrance has faded.
Switch off the warmer and allow the wax to cool and solidify before removing it.
Never pour melted wax down the sink or toilet, as it can cause blockages.
Do not scrape hot wax out of the dish or use sharp objects that could damage the warmer.
Follow the warmer manufacturer's cleaning instructions.
Never leave a wax melt warmer unattended. Fire-service guidance also warns against heating wax melts for prolonged periods; for example, Essex Fire advises not exceeding four hours at a time. Always follow the stricter limit given by your warmer or product instructions.
